Welcome Volunteer Program

Our volunteer program provides opportunities to help support our Veterinarians, Vet Technicians, and Receptionist staff to gain hands on clinic experience specific to their volunteer position. We welcome all High School, University programs, and anyone who is willing to learn from our organization. Our volunteers – including long-term and short-term volunteers; act as an extension of our staff by helping us serve our clients and their animals in need.

Vet assistant programs for high school
Bright Future Scholarship
Vet tech programs (CVT, SPC, HCC etc)
Externships

REQUIREMENTS:

Complete the volunteer liability release form
Call and schedule a tour of our clinic
Be at least 16 years of age
Must schedule each shift and communicate hours needed with Volunteer Coordinator
Must be comfortable with working around animal related issues in a fast paced work environment
Ability to communicate and work well with staff, the public, and other volunteers

OPPORTUNITIES:

Exam Technician Volunteer – working in the exam medical areas of our clinic to assist our vets and vet technicians
Surgery Technician Volunteer – providing support where needed in surgery rooms to assist our vets and surgery technicians
Receptionist Volunteer – working alongside with our receptionist staff to help provide daily needs and to help better serve our clients
Special Events – representing our organization throughout the community during our outreach and special events

DRESS CODE:

Closed-toed rubber soled shoes are recommended
No sandals, flip-flops or heels
No tank/tube tops, revealing or offensive clothing
Scrubs are preferred (preferably black). Please dress accordingly as you may get dirty or wet while interacting with animals. Clothes also may be exposed to bleach
Face masks are required in accordance with Covid-19 protocols
